WATCH HIGHLIGHTS OF LAST YEARS FESTIVAL  

2008 DATES - OCTOBER 3RD, 4TH & 5TH

The Trenton Scarecrow Festival is one of the best of its kind in the Southeast Michigan area.  We are a Family event for all ages - a fall festival featuring a Scarecrow Contest a Dog Costume contest, children's area with games/rides, a carnival, local and national musical acts, a karaoke Scarecrow Idol contest, and many other events. Annual event - every 1st week in October.

In addition, the Downtown Event Planners gave each Trenton elementary and middle school student one free ticket for the Carnival. We also helped DYPAC with some new stage lights and curtains!

 Saturday 10AM-10:30 PM (approx) A full day of fun for the entire family! Arts & Crafts, Carnival, free entertainment, Tug-O-War contest for charity, games, contests, food and did we say fun?
 Sunday 11AM-5 PM Dog Costume Contest at the Scarecrow FestivalA full day of fun for the entire family! Arts & Crafts, Carnival, free entertainment, games, contests, food and OUR FAMOUS DOG COSTUME CONTEST!!

Scarecrow Idol Finalists

It was so much fun last year…we had to do it again!

For those of you looking for entertainment on Friday night, the best place to stop would be the bandstage at West Jefferson and St. Joseph Streets to hear local singers compete for prizes in the second annual Scarecrow Idol.

After 3 rounds of auditions, finalists were chosen in the following age categories:

Group Number 1 : 9-12 years old

Group Number 2:  13-17 years old

Group Number 3: 18+

NEW THIS YEAR at the Festival

New this year at the Trenton Scarecrow Festival:

Dog Costume Calendar - 12 dogs from all the entried in the Dog Costume contest will be chosen and featured in our 1st annual Dog Costume calendar. The calendar will be available for sale on this website, with proceeds going to charity. Make sure to get your application in soon!  

Scarecrow Row

Scarecrow Row - Vote on your favorite scarecrow entries (Download the application to make one yourself) to be featured in Scarecrow Row, our new Scarecrow maze that will be located on West Jefferson.  Small cash prizes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Proceeds from this contest are donated to charity.

 

Speaking of charities, did you know that the Scarecrow Festival donates proceeds to 10 different charities every year?
