Scarecrow Festival singing contest
We have contests! All contests raise money for charity, and are a great way to get to know your neighbors Downriver!
Friday: Singing Competition(6PM): our 5th annual singing competition for ages 7-80! All musical styles are invited to participate, singing age-appropriate songs. No entry fee, and the audience votes for the winner!
Bring your friends and family down to cheer you on! Partial proceeds from audience voting goes to a local childrens’ non-profit performing arts organization, DYPAC.

4th annual Battle of the Bands
Battle of the Bands (6PM):Local bands compete for a cash prize and an award – all broadcast LIVE on the Internet! Vote for your favorite band onsite – all proceeds are donated to charity. Brought to you by MyTV20
, all band members must be 35 years old or younger to participate!

PIZZA EATING CHALLENGE: Enter onsite at the Festival – announcements will be made from the bandstage for entrants. Bring your appetite! 1 pm at the Bandstage on Saturday.
Dog Costume Contest
Sunday afternooon: Dog Costume Contest:
Bring a chair and set it up ringside EARLY – seats go fast for this costume pageant starring our favorite furry friends – YOUR dog! APPLICATION HERE, and at the Framery 2621 West Jefferson in Trenton. Gift certificates to winners supplied by Pet Supplies Plus and a place in the annual Dog Costume Calendar!1st, 2nd & 3rd place + the calendar winners are chosen by our local judges.

Scarecrow Building Contest
ONGOING:Scarecrow Contest:Our longest-running contest! Let your creativity show with your scarecrow entry!
Groups, Childrens Groups, Adults, and Businesses are welcome to build a scarecrow to display on Scarecrow Row. Festival-goers vote for their favorite entries. No entry fee, $1 per voting slip. All votes raise money for charity.
Small cash prize given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners in each category. – applications NOW ONLINE!
